Book Bag...

I enjoy making book bags and I saw this interesting crochet pattern in a You Tube Tutorial from

Yarntopia by Nadia

Crocheted in a Chunky weight yarn from a local stockist of Teddy Avril Chunky

The yarn comes in lots of lovely colours.

The pretty Mandala acts as the book flap and was really interesting to make following Nadia's excellent step by step instruction

It's all in the bag...

Since there is always a need for an extra bag or two I decide to experiment with crochet string bags in different yarn thicknesses. These fold up into your handbag and hold more than you think, although they do STRETCH quite a bit !!

The green bag is crocheted in Debbie Bliss Mia  wool/cotton mix and the multi-coloured bag is crocheted in a thick variegated double knitting acrylic weight yarn,

More itty bitty bags

I discovered this wonderful bag at a Craft Fair.
It's crocheted using two strands of thick heavy duty wool which makes a really sturdy bag
Perfect for storing my work in progress

I liked it so much I made my own colourful version using two strands of chunky acrylic yarn
